A great find in NYC (2013-12-02 20:20:21)
We stayed here for two weeks in September/October 2012. We were very pleased with the apartment and would gladly return. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and the guys on the door downstairs were great. A great location. Had great communication with the managers.
Great location, clean, quiet, comfortable (2013-12-31 15:40:11)
We stayed here for three nights with two adults and two small children and it worked out very well. The studio apartment is very clean, with updated kitchen and bath. The online pictures were accurate. It is sized like a generic midwest hotel room, with some extra room to spare. It was nice to have a doorman and the neighbors are very quiet and friendly. The couch has a pullout bed which serves as the second bed. It is a very thin mattress and only the kids were comfortable sleeping on it, which was fine for us but maybe not two adults. The queen bed is comfortable and clean. The noise from the street is substantial, but we figured that would be the case in any location in this neighborhood. There is a window unit air conditioner which was covered up, a cool draft came in from it (in the winter) but the heater did fine to counteract it. There is a nice TV with cable and a DVD player. There are corner markets and pharmacies nearby to get basic groceries, etc. There is a vegan restaurant just down the block, Pershing cafe is decent near Grand Central station, and we liked S'mac - a mac n cheese only restaurant - down on 33rd. We used the building's parking garage but the cost is $40 a day, Not $28 as advertised on this site, a minor inconvenience with price differences. The lot attendants keep your key and it is staffed 24 hrs. We were pleased with the parking. We saw several pets in the building. The location was excellent for tourists. It is six blocks away from Grand Central Station and is within walking distance of several tourist sites. We felt very safe and we were happy to stay here!
